Beinir heißt der junge Mann und kommt von den Färöer Inseln. Der Popproduzent ist dort bereits eine Nummer und wer weiß - vielleicht werden die Färöer Inseln bald Ihre eigene Seite im Popatlas bekommen. Bis dahin stellt sich diese Verbindung als durchaus gewinnbringend heraus. Beide denken und spielen Pop der einen extremen hohen Wiedererkennungswert hat - in anderen Worten - die Hook im Song krallt sich fest, ob man will oder nicht.

In January 2021 Dopha released her critically acclaimed debut album ‘The Game’, receiving almost exclusively five star reviews in the local press. Leading media predicts a huge future for her as Denmark’s next big popstar with international potential. The album was released after several popular singles, critically acclaimed live shows and a performance on Danish national TV hosted by the Danish Crown Prince and Princess with the song ‘The Game’, which also ended the year with a nomination for ‘Song Of The Year’at the Critics’ Award. The next single from the album is ‘I’m Not Crying, You Are’ which features 20-year old BEINIR from the Faroe Islands. After hearing some demos from the young talent, Dopha quickly invited him to the studio: “The song is about my ex boyfriend whom I met in a night club at 4 o’clock in the morning. Back in the day, before COVID19, when night clubs was still a thing I mean. So when I wrote ‘I’m Not Crying, You Are’ I knew I wanted to make it as a duet. And when I heard some of BEINIR’s demos, I immediately knew that it had to be him.” ‘I’m Not Crying, You Are’ is a quirky and radio-friendly duet, which leads one to think of ‘Kids’by Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue.
